Present:  President, Lynn Wolken; 1^st Vice President, Barbara Robicheaux, 2^nd  Vice President, Darleen Landry; Treasurer, Alfred Rodriguez;  Recording Secretary, Estelle de Verges; Corresponding Secretary, Beverly Buisson; Standards/Continuing Education Chairman, Adam Stevenson;  Newsletter Editor, Saundra Green; Membership/Registrar, Madeline Axtman; Public Relations, Mary LaCoste; Nominating CommitteeChairman; Joe Gendusa; 2007 New Board Member Gene Reyes.

The meeting was called to order at 7pm.  Minutes were read and approved - Motion by Barbara Robicheaux/Seconded by Adam Stevenson.  The Treasurer’s Report was reviewed .  Motion by Adam Stevenson/Seconded Darleen Landry with unanimous approval.

Old Business:

Christmas Social – at the Aquarium of the Americas thanks to Sherry Constance and Lyn Wolken.  It will be a sit down dinner with Cash Bar.  Cost is $35.00 per person and count is presently at 53 persons.  All Board Members are welcome to help!

Coachman of the Year – Carl Guidry

Wetlands Certificates & Patches – Adam Stevenson has requested on a number of occasions and they are on back order. 

Continuing Education Certificates  - are on hold at this time while education units are being calculated.  Regarding classes – no one seems to know how to locate Mary Helen Schaeffer and Delgado College has not had any other training sessions.

New Business:

Train Ride – Estelle de Verges – There is a train owned by the Public Belt Railroad (?) that travels from the French Quarter to the top of the Huey Long Bridge.  It stops for about ½ hour to afford an overlook of the city and Mississippi River and returns to the French Quarter.  Perhaps we could research this for an Association excursion or meeting.

A Toast To Lynn our outgoing President who has gone above and beyond for our organization through some very difficult times.  A BIG THANKS for all the hard work and great effort in keeping our Association together, afloat and successful!
